Tooth Jpeg Blue Tooth Problem?

If the pictures are for my Bluetooth laptop (Vista) from my phone the files are treated as "files" and not as an image (eg JPEG, GIF, etc.)
When I load these images in to a site like MySpace, the browser option does not even recognize the files and what not, let me transfer.
Is it possible to change the status of these files to JPEG files?
